An interesting pair of flower shaped posy vases in Victorian Naturalistic Style, which preludes the Art Nouveau. The two pieces are silver plate; although no silver has remained, they have a beautiful uniform warm patina. Despite the age they are in good condition, with few defects, such as minor dents on the base.
The most interesting details are the flower shaped opening, which make them beautiful, and the delicate work of the stem.
They are marked EPNS, with a Crown and a the Prince of Wales’ Feathers. The maker is unidentified.
They are 14 cm tall, have a 4.5 cm corolla, and a base of 5 cm x 5 cm.
