Antique Dutch Caddy Spoon 830 Silver 1877

This is a beautiful Dutch caddy spoon, hallmarked 1877.

It bears the marks used between since 1814 until 1953: the date letter S for 1877, the Lion Passant (purity .833 minimum) the Duty Mark “Minerva Head” and the Maker’s Mark. The marks are on the back.

This Caddy Spoon has an unusual shape, crowned by an engraved foliage decoration. The handle has a beautiful cartouche un-monogrammed.

There is a dent on the handle, otherwise is in very good condition.
