Art Nouveau Cranberry Inkwell with Cranberry Vase, Wood Base, Chester 1903 Solid Silver Plaque with Dedication.

A beautiful cranberry glass vase mounted on an inkstand bearing a cranberry glass inkwell. The wooden base is oval and has the housing for the vase and the inkwell, and bears a rectangular plaque inscribed with a dedication dated 1904.

The metal parts (feet under the base, ring of the inkwell and ring at the base of the vase) are silver plate. The plaque is solid silver hallmarked Chester 1903.

The item is in general good condition. The inkwell ring is worn and the glass has minor chips. The glass vase is in excellent condition. The spherical ring at the base of the vase was maybe stuck someway to the base, and now it cases the stem of the vase.

The item is accompanied by a wooden pen and nib.
