Unusual Wooden Books Ends in the shape of Bow and Stern of a Rowing Shell  c.1880-1910 

The Stern bears the Cambridge University Logo (the Heraldic Arms of Cambridge University). The Bow bears the Trinity Hall Heraldic Shield.

Very good conditions; small chip on the edge of the helm.

They measure 17 cm x 19 cm x 12 cm each.

Rara coppia di fermalibri in forma di poppa e prua di imbarcazione da canottaggio (iole), di epoca vittoriana o forse edoardiana, realizzati  in mogano e rovere. La prua dell’imbarcazione reca il logo del Trinity Hall College (Trinity Hall Heraldic Shield).  A  poppa è situato il timone, con cerniere e  finiture in ottone, ed è presente il logo dell’Università di Cambridge (The Heraldic  Arms of Cambridge University).

Altezza 17 cm, lunghezza 19 cm ( a poppa 21 cm quando il timone è allineato con l’imbarcazione), profondità 12 cm

Ottime condizioni. Una piccola porzione finale del timone è scheggiata (visibile nelle fotografie).
