Round shaped George V perfume bottle with silver hallmarked cap and cut glass stopper inside.

This kind of bottle were popular during the Victoria era and subsequently. They are very charming and when they are in very good condition are very collectable.

This one is very nice, with good cut arising from the base and enlarging near the top. The cap is finely engraved with a flowered garland.

Condition is very good, without chips or cracks of the glass body. There is a small dent inside the cap visible from outside due to the stopper where it comes in contact of the cap itself. The glass is clear enough.

The cap and the ring inside are hallmarked Birmingham 1923, and the maker mark is CS*FS which stays for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings -Frank- Shepherd,. since 1893

Bottiglia da profumo rotonda di cristallo e argento, con stopper originale, realizzata a Birmingham nel 1923 da Cornelius Saunders e Francis Shepherd.

Il tappo di argento è decorato con una ghirlanda fiorita.  Il taglio del cristallo è elegante: parte dalla base con intagli paralleli che si allargano verso l’alto formando delle stelle.

Condizioni molto buone, non sono presenti rotture o sbreccature. Il tappo è in ordine, con una piccolissima protuberanza al centro dovuto allo stopper di vetro interno dove questo tocca il tappo stesso. Il cristallo è pulito e abbastanza chiaro.

E’ alta 11,5 cm e ha un diametro di 9 cm
