Fish Set for 6 persons Silver Plate Albany Pattern Mappin & Webb  Princes’ Plate 1887

A beautiful set of six fish forks and six fish knives in very good original condition, with minor wear on the reverse and minor spots on one knife. There are light scratches due to polishing and use.

Knives and forks are engraved with a neo-gothic decoration.

This rare set, made 1887 – 1890 by Mappin & Webb with the trade mark Princes’ Plate and the registration number 71552 (year 1887),  is in the sought after Albany Pattern, a late nineteenth century pattern with a traditional sleek looking handle. A Victorian design that’s still very popular today.

Each fork is 18.2  cm long and 2.3 cm wide and weighs approx 40 grams.

Each knife is 20.8  cm long and 2.5 cm wide and weighs approx 46 grams.

Bellissimo set da pesce per sei persone, nel ricercato decoro Albany, realizzato verso il 1887-1890 da Mappin & Webb, Princes’ Plate, con il numero di registrazione 71552 (anno 1887).

In condizioni molto buone con minime abrasioni sul retro.
