Solid Silver Inkstand with two Inkwells, Stockholm 1890
This is a beautiful collectable inkwell featuring a shield on the upper part and a hand-embossed tray on four feet, which bears two cut glass bottles with silver caps. Elegant, well proportioned, in excellent condition. The shield is stunning, enriched with embossed leaves. The plain surface in un-monogrammed and is perfect, with no dents at all. The bottles have no chips or breakages and the glass is clean.
It is hallmarked with the Swedish standard silver mark (Three Crowns), the date combination M6 (year 1890), the mark of origin (City of Stockholm mark) and the maker mark GAB.
The GAB, Guldsmedsaktiebolaget was registered in Stockholm in date 18.1.1868
